DRP (Digital Risk Protection)

DRP (Digital Risk Protection) is a cybersecurity discipline that continuously monitors the internet — websites, social media, forums, domain registries and the dark web — to detect and neutralise threats aimed at an organisation. Unlike traditional defences that protect the inside of a network, DRP focuses on risks that exist beyond the corporate perimeter.

What DRP involves

DRP complements search-engine reputation management (SERM) and classic application- and infrastructure-security monitoring, forming a layered strategy against threats that originate on the open internet. The sooner an organisation learns about leaked credentials or a lookalike site impersonating its brand, the smaller the financial and reputational loss — which is why DRP effectiveness is measured above all by time to detect and time to respond.
